Play Therapy, Healing Through Connection

At The Kid Connection, we believe that emotional and behavioral well-being is just as important as academic success. That’s why we offer in-house play therapy and counseling services for children of all ages. Led by our full-time licensed therapist, this program provides a safe and supportive space where children can process emotions, work through challenges, and build resilience—through methods that make sense for their age and development.

Thoughtful. Personalized. Child-Led.

A Safe Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Supported

Our therapy sessions are built around the individual child. Whether through traditional talk therapy or age-appropriate play and activity-based counseling, we tailor each session to match developmental needs and emotional goals. We also work closely with parents to ensure support continues at home and school, creating a wraparound experience that encourages lasting growth.

Children's Counseling

Rooted in Love, Guided by Hope

Why Families Choose Counseling for Their Children

Parents seek counseling for their child because they love them deeply and want to see them thrive—not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Sometimes, even with all the love and support in the world, children face struggles that parents can’t fix with hugs or advice alone. Maybe their child is hurting in a way that’s hard to explain, or maybe they’re watching their once joyful child become withdrawn, anxious, or frustrated. That can be heartbreaking.

Seeking counseling is not a sign of failure—it’s a sign of strength. It means a parent is willing to say, “We need help, and that’s okay.” It’s an act of courage and hope. Counseling offers a safe space for children to be seen and heard without judgment, and it equips families with tools to navigate tough seasons together.

Ultimately, parents pursue counseling because they believe in the potential of their child. They want them to know they are not alone, that their feelings matter, and that healing is possible. It’s one of the many ways a parent says, “I see you. I love you. And I will walk beside you until the light comes back in.

What Our Student's Families Are Saying About TKC Play Therapy & Counseling

Our son was struggling to make good friends and often acted out just to be noticed. It was hard watching him feel so lost. We tried several counselors, but heard about Ms. Grace from a friend and decided to try counseling once more. Now, just over a year later, the change is remarkable. He’s maturing, learning to understand himself, and starting to build real, healthy friendships. He no longer feels the need to act out to be seen—he’s learning that who he is, just as he is, is enough. We’re so thankful for the loving guidance and support he’s received. TKC and Ms. Grace have truly made a lasting impact on his heart and life.

What Our Student's Families Are Saying About TKC Play Therapy & Counseling

When we first came to The Kid Connection, our son was struggling deeply—with big emotions, outbursts, and challenges both in and out of school. As parents, we felt overwhelmed and heartbroken, unsure of how to truly help him. We knew he was a wonderful, kind-hearted child, but his behaviors were making it hard for others to see that, and for him to feel understood. The counseling program at The Kid Connection has been nothing short of life-changing for our family. Through gentle guidance, faith-filled support, and a deep understanding of how children process emotions, they helped our son find his voice. For the first time, he began to put words to feelings he couldn’t explain before. He started learning how to navigate tough moments with confidence instead of chaos.
What stood out most was how loved and safe he felt in every session. The counselors didn’t just work with his behaviors—they reached his heart. Today, our son is more aware of his emotions, more connected to those around him, and so much more at peace within himself. And as a family, we’ve grown too—closer, stronger, and more hopeful. We are so thankful for The Kid Connection. They saw the light in our child even when it felt dim, and helped him believe in it again. We couldn’t recommend this program more.
